If you visit Olney’s website or Facebook frequently, there’s a good chance you have seen one of the great art pieces created by senior Tae Min Kim. A native of Incheon, South Korea, Tae Min has spent his entire high school career at Olney Friends School, following in the footsteps of his brother, Taehwan, who graduated in 2013.
Tae Min values the close, small community at OFS, and likes that everyone knows each other. He also likes that the faculty play a major, supportive role in student lives.
Academically, Tae Min is very interested in art, especially enjoying a recent Impressionistic Art Endeavor offered in the Fall. Despite having never painted before this year, his art from the class has been one of the most popular pieces on display in the school’s halls.
When he is not working on his art, Tae Min enjoys playing games, walking in to town for some shopping at Riesbeck’s Food Market, learning to play piano, and preparing for college.
