Student Dorms on Display at Room Beautiful

While Olney Friends School currently enrolls its highest number of day students in recent history, the majority attend as either 5-day or 7-day boarders, thus they spend a considerable amount of time in their dorm rooms. At the beginning of the second semester, room assignments are changed, giving students the opportunity to live for five months with their closest friends. One week after the rooms are switched, the school holds its annual Room Beautiful contest where, in addition to showcasing their particular living quarters, students are able to compete in various theme categories, including:
Coziest: The room you are most likely fall asleep in while reading a book or sipping on tea
Most Spartan: This room has the bare essentials — beds, dressers, maybe a few books — but is intended for functionality rather than flash
Most Likely to be Featured on the Olney Website: In theory, this is the room that presents the best aesthetic appeal and, thus, would be most likely to be shared with the world. In reality, however, they were all pretty awesome!
Best Overall: Over the years, this category has usually gone to rooms that have the best combination of aesthetics, comfort, snacks (see: edible bribes) and intangibles (a film, background music, or well-orchestrated gimmick are helpful).
and, for fun:
Most Likely to Cause a Donald Trump Twitter Meltdown: Formerly the “Most Likely to Upset Your Grandmother” category, students opted to go a bit more topical this year.
