Second Month, 1921 – “The Roby Cigar Factory fire”

“Seventh Day morning we were awakened at about six thirty by the fire whistle in Barnesville. We could look out the west windows and see the fire blazing away across there. We heard at breakfast that it was a cigar factory that was burning. There was certainly a good deal of excitement in the dining room. We think that it was a pretty good way to smoke the cigars, but are sorry for the people who are thrown out of work.”
