Sam Leath ’06, a member of the Olney Friends School Board of Trustees (pictured above with OFS Business Manager Shelley Rockwell ’82) shared this wonderful sentiment during the Board’s retreat weekend that will surely resonate with so many who have called this place “home” at one point:
“As an adult, I’ve realized two things. The first is that everything I really needed to know, I already learned at Olney but lacked the maturity then to understand how that would shape me later. And the second is that, as an adult, I’m secretly just trying to recreate Olney in whatever setting or community I find myself living.”
