Guest Speaker – Halie Gary

Olney Friends School invites you to join us virtually May 6th to hear from our next guest speaker: Halie Gary, OFS ’13, will present a live video conference on “Working Creatively” on Friday, May 6th at 7:00 PM EDT.

Currently the GED career counselor for Detroit At Work SER Metro, Halie Gary Is a creative and colorful person who has been pursuing the art world since childhood. While experimenting in different creative fields, Halie has worked as a production assistant for TV One-Unsung and as a freelance artist for small businesses and local artists while creating her own business, Boum Boom. Halie received her Master’s in Animation from Depaul University in 2019 after earning a Bachelor’s in Art & Technology from Allegheny College. Halie has experienced a career that enabled her to dabble in many different creative spaces, from having her artwork purchased for the Allegheny College archives, to working as a background artist for Sony staff in LA and creating stage animation for a local Lansing rapper. Halie G has yet to define the type of artist she has become.
