Olney Friends School was awarded the GAP tourism grant this week. Our project is for a birding event on campus planned in the early fall of 2024. GAP grant funds will be used in developing habitats and building birdhouses, purchasing binoculars for school and public use, as well as marketing the event to the greater region in hopes of attracting birders to visit our campus and enjoy our beautiful grounds. We are also working on the publication of an Olney birding guide with descriptions and photos, edited by students.
