Big Fun and Bigger Bids Highlight Junior Auction

On Friday night, Olney Friends School held its annual Junior Auction in the Collection Room. The event, intended to raise funds for the class of 2017, saw dozens of goods and services auctioned off to a lively crowd of students, faculty, and guests from the Arthur Morgan School.

Juniors E.J. Reed, David Ulin-O’Keefe, and Abraham Song all took turns playing the role of auctioneer for the evening while their teachers and peers bid furiously for an incredible assortment of goodies.

Some of the biggest sellers were a zoo trip (sponsored by Spanish teacher Connie Collins), a six-person cookout (provided by kitchen staff member Jeff Howell), organic coffee from Costa Rica, and a wide assortment of baked goods, including several gluten-free pies and a delectable croquembouche.
