Happy Juneteenth from Olney Friends School!! We are so very happy to be able to celebrate this now National Holiday. The date, June 19, 1865, refers to the day when enslaved African Americans learned of their emancipation. It is also called Emancipation Day or Juneteenth Independence Day.
