Photos: Junior Debate
Each year the 11th grade Humanities class is split into two teams and given a topic of debate. After weeks of research and practice the two teams come together to defend their position in a formal debate format. This year the topic for debate was "Affirm or Negate: A society's dependence upon sedentary agriculture as a primary means of production will ultimately result in the collapse of that society." Arguing for the Affirmative team were:
Eleanor Ford, Sarah Kirk, Cate Bowman, Hannah Goodchild, Graham Cleary, Catesby Simpson, Cecily Allen and Long Vu. Arguing for the Negative team were: Michael Root, Alex Tabera, Jovana Radosavljevic, Jovana Barac, Brandyn Noel, Lillian Denhardt, Kyung Bong Ha and Alice Uwimbabazi. Results are being tallied and the winning team will be announced soon.
