Kirsten Bohl works with others on the advancement team to coordinate marketing, admissions, development, and communications for Olney Friends School.
Others on the advancment team include Musa Hamideh ‘05, director of admissions; Camilo Matos, admissions assistant; Heather Best, director of development; and Sue Grimes, development assistant. Of course, head of school Charlie Szumilas is our fearless leader; and Cleda Mott ‘57 is the much-loved coordinator of alumni relations.
We always welcome your story ideas, your participation in our community both in person and online, and your suggestions for students who would thrive at Olney.
You can reach us more globally at admissions@olneyfriends.org or alumni@olneyfriends.org. We hope to hear from you soon!
Past Lives
Olney Friends School has felt like home since I arrived in October 2009. As for past professional lives: I am former director of annual giving and stewardship at Earlham College, former development coordinator for Duke University Press, and former manager of Laurel House, a 40-member graduate student residence in Austin, Texas. I’ve also worked in residential life at Oberlin College, and in marketing at Whole Foods Market in Durham, North Carolina.
Favorite Things
Some of my favorite things at Olney Friends School include Morning Collection, taking walks on the Back Two, and working to discover new routes to create and sustain affordable K12 independent education and to promote regional economic development in Appalachia.
