Next Steps
The summit gathering strongly affirmed Olney’s primary purpose as a Quaker college preparatory boarding and day high school for grades 9-12 with a globally and socioeconomically diverse student body.
Further directions the school explores will enrich our core. Here, we expect to post updates on creating a long-term
vision for how the school can contribute to economic and environmental sustainability in Appalachia.
Students and staff are immersing themselves in reading, meditation, and discussion in the coming weeks, as the board sketches white papers and prepares for its January 2011 retreat.
