A Day in the Life of a Typical Sophomore

7:00Breakfast is optional in the kitchen
8:00Morning Collection is a time of silent reflection followed by announcements. (On Wednesday, students sleep in while staff attend faculty meeting; classes begin at 9:00.)
8:20Block 1: Algebra II: Prepare for Pi Day presentation
9:06Blocks 2 & 3: Humanities: Write Civil War ballads
10:38Block 4: Spanish II: Practice Spanish Perch performance
11:24Block 5: Advisory meeting
12:10Lunch, dish crew and "office work" (cleaning chores)
1:15Block 6: Quakerism class (some students might have art, music, or academic electives)
2:01Block 7: Study hall
2:47Block 8: Chemistry class
3:29Afternoon break, snack
3:40Block 9: Science lab (once a week) or Physical Education (twice weekly)
4:30Varsity Sports and Activities Block: soccer, volleyball, basketball, field hockey, running, theater, special projects, etc.
6:05Supper and dish crew
7:00Study hall (on Tuesday, students participate in student-led interest groups instead of study hall- examples: cooking, theatre, coffeehouse, orchestra, ping-pong, rock-climbing, Spanish club)
8:30Evening Collection
8:50Extended study hall for students who have not completed homework
