Teaching Awards

A few recent honors:

  • Biology, environmental science, and mathematics teacher Leonard Guindon was named Ohio Conservation Teacher of the Year in the high school category by the Ohio Federation of Soil and Water Districts in 2009.
  • Former humanities teacher Abby Chew was awarded the George G. Skinner and Lela Skinner Bailey Teaching Development Award for professional development in 2009.
  • Former humanities teacher Promise Partner, a past recipient of a Klingenstein Fellowship for independent school teachers, is pursuing her master’s degree in English at the Bread Loaf School of English through Middlebury College. The program is especially designed for teachers. It can be completed in four six-week summer sessions.
