Olney Friends School Merit Scholarships
Olney Friends School encourages prospective students to apply for our merit-based scholarship. This is granted as a $1,000 scholarship renewable by application for up to four years. To apply, write a one-page description of your exceptional accomplishment in the arts, academics, or service and attach an adult recommendation from someone who is familiar with your involvement in this realm.
Students must first be admitted to Olney Friends School through our regular admissions process in order to be considered for a Merit Scholarship. All families in need of financial aid are encouraged to apply through FACTS or the International Financial Aid process.
Olney Friends School Heritage Scholarships for:
- 9th-12th grade members of a Quaker Meeting
- Students who have attended Quaker schools and camps
- Children and grandchildren of Olney alumni
The traditions, practice, and philosophy of Quaker education form the backbone of our community at Olney. Quaker-affiliated students are key to transmitting these traditions and are often some of our strongest leaders. Olney values this relationship and encourages students from Friends schools and families to visit and to consider applying for our Heritage Scholarships.
A 10% yearly reduction in our comprehensive tuition is offered to all who qualify for the Heritage Scholarship regardless of need. Students with financial need who are members of a Quaker meeting are eligible to apply on an annual basis for up to a 30% reduction in our comprehensive tuition. To apply, write a one-page description of your involvement in Friends Meeting and other Quaker-related leadership and attach an adult recommendation from someone who is familiar with your involvement in this realm.
